Hello, and Welcome

Hi everyone, I'm Stephanie, owner of Afterglow Beauty Services. I know it's not common for owners to be writing blogs or writing about their own experiences, triumphs and concerns, but I guess I'm not ordinary in that sense. Writing has always been an outlet for me and I believe in transparency as much as I believe in confidence. That's why I started this business. I believe in confidence, not that it exists, we all know that, but in the power of it. When you are confident, you not only feel better about yourself, which is kind of the whole point, I truly believe that when we feel good we also, in turn treat others better. Think about days that you feel like crap, it's been an off day, you don't feel like you look your best and you don't feel at your best. Those days do you go out of your way to smile at others? Do you have kind words for people or are those the days that you're more likely to be snappy with the Walmart cashier because they're taking too long? I know that personally when I feel good, and feel that I look good I am kinder, I offer kinder words, I have more patience, I show more grace. And while we should always act this way, within reason and we inherently KNOW that, it's sometimes difficult to do. It's human nature. That's where I come in. I want you to feel your best, and I want you to, in the process, make others feel their best. So sit back, relax, and follow along. I'm here to bring you the joys and pitfalls of beauty and owning your own business out of the blue. I'll never name names and I won't talk badly about clients, not that so far I have any reason to, but I will be real honest with my feelings and worries and funny anecdotes (or at least I think they're funny.)
